CRNS Council Election

CRNS Council nominations for the spring 2023 election are now open.

Being a part of the CRNS Council is an opportunity to contribute to the regulation of registered nursing in Saskatchewan. Any CRNS practicing member can run for election to Council if they meet the requirements for the position they seek. Following the election, newly elected members will be announced at the CRNS Annual Meeting on May 3, 2023.

We encourage you to contribute to the regulation of registered nursing in Saskatchewan by submitting the name of a colleague.

CRNS Council Election 2023 Nominator Form

Positions for Election


Council Member-at-Large (one-, two- and three-year terms)

Members are elected to these positions to represent registered nursing in Saskatchewan.

  • President-elect (2-year term)
  • Member-at-Large for Electoral Region 1 (SW) (3-year term)
  • Member-at-Large for Electoral Region 2 (SE) (3-year term)
  • Member-at-Large for Nursing Practice Area: nursing education, nursing administration, policy or research area (3-year term)

President-elect Position

A member is elected to this position to represent registered nursing in Saskatchewan. The commitment for this position includes two years as President-elect, followed by two years as President and then two years as the chair of the Nominations Committee.

Member-at-Large Positions

Members are elected to these positions to represent registered nursing in Saskatchewan.

Nominations Committee (two-year term)

The role of the Nominations Committee is to provide a slate of candidates to fill the registered nurse positions on Council and the Nominations Committee. Candidate nominations must comply with requirements stated in The Registered Nurses Act, 1988, current SRNA Bylaws and CRNS policies.

Nomination Process


Note: All necessary nominee and nominator information must be submitted electronically.

  1. Nominator to fill out and submit CRNS Council Election 2023 Nominator Form. This form must include the nominator's contact name, CRNS license number, and the nominee's contact name and CRNS license number.
  2. Once CRNS Council Election 2023 Nominator Form is submitted, the CRNS will verify both the nominator’s and nominee’s CRNS license numbers and ensure both members are in good standing to continue the nomination process.
  3. Upon confirmation of both license numbers and statuses, the CRNS will contact the nominee to confirm the nomination and to share CRNS Council Election 2023 Nominee Application Form - Member-at-Large or the CRNS Council Election 2023 Nominee Application Form - Nominations Committee.
  4. The nominee must complete and submit the CRNS Council Election 2023 Nominee Application Form - Member-at-Large or the CRNS Council Election 2023 Nominee Application Form - Nominations Committee by Monday, January 30, 2023, at 12:00 pm. Late submissions will not be accepted. No exceptions.
