Celebrate a Nurse in Your Life: May 10-16

#WeAnswerTheCall is the theme for this year’s National Nursing Week from May 10 to 16, but it is also the theme for the profession of nursing each day. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, the world has watched as health care professionals have answered the call to action and the call to serve and care for the public on the front lines of an unexpected pandemic. The truth of the matter is, these individuals were answering the call long before the Covid-19 pandemic, and they will continue to do so long after it has ended.

The CRNS invites the public to join us in celebrating our Saskatchewan nurses. Expressing your thanks and appreciation can be done in various ways, from sending a text or writing a thank-you note for a nurse in your life or using the #IKnowANurse to share stories of exceptional nurses, because everyone knows a nurse who has left a lasting impression.

The CRNS has also created a Facebook profile frame you are invited to add to your profile photo to show your support for Saskatchewan nurses. To add a frame to your profile photo simply click the camera icon on the bottom right side of your current photo and select, “Add Frame”. You can then search active frames by typing in, “CRNS-NNW-Public”. After clicking, “Use as Profile Photo”, the frame is then set to your profile photo.

The CRNS recognizes the extremely important role nurses play as members of the frontline in the fight against the Covid-19 virus, as well as all other ailments and diseases, and want to thank them for their dedication to their profession, their passion for caring for the public and for the sacrifices they continue to make.

As members of the public, we encourage you to take the time to recognize and express thanks to the nurses in your life, they deserve it.
