License Renewal
The 2026 College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) yearly license renewal will open on October 1 and run until November 30, 2025.
Annual license renewal is required to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Registered Nurse with Additional Authorized Practice [RN(AAP)] in Saskatchewan.
Processing and Renewal Time Frames
All applications will require a minimum of two weeks after submission to be processed. All members must renew their license within the renewal period.
Your current license expires on Sunday, November 30, 2025. It is highly recommended that you submit your renewal application on or before November 14, 2025 to ensure it can be processed before license expiration.
Employer Paid Cessation
Beginning in the fall of 2025 registrants will be responsible for paying for their annual license and seek reimbursement from their employer if supported by employer policy.
This shift aligns the CRNS with regulatory bodies across Canada that see registrants pay for their professional license at the same time they complete the required renewal process and is a way to ensure registrants are always aware of their licensure status.
Please check with your employer on the process for applying for reimbursement of fees paid.
