CRNS License Renewal 2026
The 2026 College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) yearly license renewal opens October 1, 2025.
Annual license renewal is an opportunity to reaffirm your commitment to the values of registered nursing. It is also required to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Registered Nurse with Additional Authorized Practice [RN(AAP)] in Saskatchewan.
Reminder: Registrants are now responsible for paying their annual license at the time of renewal. Please check with your employer on the process for applying for reimbursement.

Processing and Renewal Time Frames
All applications will require a minimum of two weeks after submission to be processed. All members must renew their license within the renewal period (October 1 to November 30, 2025). At any other time, this will be treated as a Reinstatement and will be subject to reinstatement and late fees in addition to licensing fees.

Before you renew, make sure you have:
To complete the renewal form efficiently, each registrant should have:
- Your username which is your email address (the one you have in the CRNS system).
- Your password (case sensitive). If forgot your password, click “forgot password” on the log-in screen.
- Access to your email. For security reasons, when you sign in, you may be prompted to submit a validation code. Copy the verification code, from your email and then input this code exactly as shown into the web browser. Click “Validate” and you will be logged into the CRNS Portal.
- The number of eligible RN hours you are counting from December 1, 2024, through to November 30, 2025. Please remember to report your eligible RN or NP hours for each employer. If you didn’t work any hours for a particular employer, just enter 0. For more information, click here.
- Continuing Competence Program (CCP) for 2025 must be completed to proceed with your renewal. CRNS registrants are required, at a minimum, to select a Practice Standard you focused on, one related learning goal, and at least one completed activity with an evaluation.
- A credit card to complete online payment.
Important Dates
October 1, 2025: Renewal opens.
November 14, 2025: Renewal application due to ensure it can be processed before license expiration
November 30, 2025: License renewal closes. Do not work until you have verified on Nurse License Check that you are licensed for the 2026 registration year.
Midnight on November 30, 2025: 2025 license expires.
December 1, 2025: Your license has expired and you will need to complete a Reinstatement Request by going into your CRNS portal. An additional reinstatement fee of $157.50 will apply. Registrants may also be subject to a late renewal fee.
